Lloyd is a professional rehabilitation engineer who has been working in Assistive Technology (AT) for over 25 years. Trained in Australia and Scotland, he has been focused on the application of technology for people with disability. He is a user of AT, and has contributed to education, research, standards, practice and policy on AT. He has recently contributed to the the World Health Organisation (WHO) Global Report on Assistive Technology (GATE) in Geneva. Lloyd joined the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) in August 2015 and is currently Director of Assistive Technology, based in the National Office in Geelong
He is a past chair of Engineers Australia’s National Committee on Rehabilitation Engineering, and will be sharing his professional insights into the future place of rehabilitation engineers in Australia.
